Youth Ball families,

Due to Covid-19 and the mandatory closure of Michigan schools the Youth Ball enrollment period had been extended indefinitely.  Our focus is on keeping all of our families safe and healthy.  We will continue to monitor the recommendations of our Local, State, and Federal authorities and keep you updated.

If you would like, registrations can be mailed to Goodrich Community Education, 7501 Seneca St., Goodrich, MI 48438.   

Please know that any registrations and payments  received as of March 9th will not be processed until our staff returns to work.

Summer Youth Ball Program

2020 Open Registration- February 10th-March 20th
Early Bird Discount Registration- February 10th-February 24th

Goodrich Youth Ball is a recreational program for students to learn and develop softball and baseball skills in a fun, safe and supportive environment. All students play on teams that are balanced by age and skill level. The program teaches good sportsmanship and teamwork and is community centered involving volunteers and local business sponsors.

DIVISIONS:

Co-Ed T-Ball:  Ages 4-6- **MUST BE 4 BY JANUARY 1, 2020**
An introduction to baseball.  Players will learn basic fundamentals and skill development.  Games will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Reid fields.  Uniform includes team shirt and hat. 

Girls Coach Pitch: Ages 7-10
League placement based on age as of August 1, 2020.  Players will develop  their understanding of the game , field, and rules. Coaches will pitch.  Games will take place on Monday and Wednesday evenings at the Reid, Middle School, or Varsity Field.  Uniform includes a team shirt and visor. 

Boys Coach Pitch: Ages 7-9
League placement based on age as of August 1, 2020. Players will develop their understanding of the game, field, and rules.  Coaches will pitch. Games will take place on
Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Reid, Middle School, or Varsity Field.  Uniform includes a team shirt and hat. 
 
Jr. Girls: Ages 11-12
*NEW* league! Placement based on age as of August 1, 2020. 
Players will refine their skills on the field including throwing, catching, fielding, and pitching. Games will be held primarily on Tuesday and Thursday evenings in June and July.  Game locations will vary and there will be travel to our partnering communities within a 30 minute drive.  Teams will be made up of Goodrich players and coached by Goodrich Volunteers. 
Uniform includes team shirt, pants, and visor. 

Jr. Girls: Ages 13-14
*NEW* league! Placement based on age as of August 1, 2020. 
Players will continue in a competitive league working on sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development. Games will be held primarily on Monday and Wednesday evenings in June and July. Game locations will vary and there will be travel to our partnering communities within a 30 minute drive. Teams will be made up of Goodrich players and coached by Goodrich volunteers.  Uniform includes team shirt, pants, and visor. 
 
Pony Boys: Ages 10-12
League placement based on age as of August 1, 2020.  Players will continue in a more competitive league to develop sportsmanship, teamwork, and skill development. Games will be held primarily on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at the Reid, Middle School, or Varsity Field.  Uniform includes team shirt, pants, and hat.
 
** Players may not play down a division.

NEW JR. GIRLS LEAGUE:  We are excited to partner with our neighboring communities in a recreational league for our Junior Girls players.  Game locations will vary but will be within a 30 minute drive from Goodrich.

League Calendar:

Practices– Begin the week of May 11th

  • Coaches will begin contacting players by phone or email beginning the week of  May 4th.  Please be patient. 
  • Practice days and times are subject to change due to field availability.
  • There will be one practice per week but it may fall on a day other than a league game day 

Games– Begin the week of June 8th

  • Goodrich League Games will be played Monday thru Thursday at a 5:30 pm or 7:00 pm start time
  • T-Ball and Goodrich League Regular season ends July 13-14th
  • Playoffs for Coach Pitch and Pony Boys leagues will be July 15th-July 23rd for qualifying teams
  • Weekend make-up games may be necessary depending on weather, field conditions, and availability
  • Coaches will contact player if a weather cancellation should occur
  • No games will be played the week of July 6th -July 10th in celebration of the 4th of July holiday

Ski and Snowboard Passes

Students:

The $20.00 Student ID card is for the entire 2019-2020 Ski/Snowboard season. To participate in the program students must have a student Ski/Snowboard ID Card with them each time they attend Mt. Holly. The card allows students to ski at *reduced rates Monday-Friday from 3pm-close (non-holidays). If students show their ID card over the holiday vacation they will receive $10 off the price of a lift ticket.

There are 2 lesson tickets attached to the Ski ID Card and 1 lesson ticket attached to the Snowboard ID Card. Additional lesson tickets may be purchased at the Mt. Holly ski school desk as needed for advancement.

Students must be at least 7 years old to participate. ID cards are nonrefundable and not replaceable if lost or stolen.

Adults:

The $20 Adult ID card entitles adults to $5.00 off the price of a lift ticket 10 times throughout the season.
