Welcome Letter

Three Year Old Preschool - Room 40

Welcome to Goodrich Children's Center! We are looking forward to providing an environment that will help your child learn to socialize with other children, discover new things through hands-on exploration, challenge them with new learning experiences and prepare them for future learning-notably Kindergarten! We are very excited to work with your child this year and prepare them for this next big step!
During the first few weeks of school you may be asked to show identification when picking your child up from school until we are familiar with everyone. If someone other than the regular pick up person is picking up your child, they must be listed on your child's information card and show a picture ID. Please notify the staff- in writing-when someone different will be picking your child up from school. It is also appreciated if you call us if your child will not be attending preschool on their scheduled day.
A snack schedule will be sent home monthly listing each child's snack day. If your child is not listed during that month, they will be on for the following month. Your child will also have their snack day on their birthday or close to if it doesn't fall on a preschool day. We will also post a snack schedule outside the classroom along with a volunteer sign-up sheet. Volunteering will start the first week of October, please feel free to sign up to volunteer in the classroom!
Included in this folder is our daily schedule, our preschool objectives, snack ideas and a wish list of items that we frequently use in the classroom-any donations of these items are greatly appreciated!
Next week during your visit day, we will have more information that relates more to each individual class. We are definitely looking forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting new ones!
If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to stop into the classroom either before or after class. We are also available by phone or email and the Children's Center has a web site that you can access for information. Go to www.goodrichschools.org and click on the Community Education link. This will take you to the Children's Center site. We will also keep you informed during the year with monthly newsletters and notes. We are excited for what this year holds and are looking forward to being a part of this amazing journey with you and your child!

Thank you!
